About the Author
Mr. Sujoy Roy, was born in Kolkata but shifted base to Patna at an early age. He completed his schooling and college from Patna. He was involved in the Student Movement against authoritarianism in 1974. During this period He was profoundly influenced by Marxism.
He joined a nationalised bank in 1978 and later retired in the year 2012. He is married to Mrs. Shyamali Roy. Roy always had the literary passion and has penned an Anthology of Poems in bengali ” Aaloke Porte Dao” and a novel “Britto Bhenge”.

On the other hand, giving up his dream of being a great footballer due to financial hardships, he acquired a job as a financial analyst in a US based company. He commenced his career there industrious and by his virtuosic performance, bagged a promotion within a short spell.
At the end of April 2016, Avik found his right hand and lower limb not functioning well. Getting no result from medicines, he had to undergo an MRI followed by surgery and thus which detected malignant cancer that too of a scarce kind, Glioblastoma. The family decided to get him treated at TMH Bombay. Thus began Avik’s and his family’s long battle with the deadly disease.
